Motorcycle Collision with FedEx Van Claims Life of Fergus Falls, MN Man
A motorcycle-van crash occurred in Otter Tail County, near Elizabeth, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old Fergus Falls man, Michael Wayne Korby, according to available information. The accident took place when Korby, riding a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle, collided with a northbound 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter FedEx delivery van, driven by Jabob Tyler Wells, 26, of West Fargo MN.
The Accident
The van made a left turn in front of Korby at Jewett Lake Road, causing the collision, according to available information. Unfortunately, Korby suffered fatal injuries in the accident, while the FedEx driver remained uninjured. Wells received a citation following the incident. The authorities, including the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Elizabeth Fire Department, Ringdahl Ambulance Service of Fergus Fall, and Beyer Towing of Fergus Falls, responded to the scene to assist.
The crash is currently under investigation. The accident was reported shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 22.
